It's Happening . . .
The paint is going on the church and it is being transformed into what it might have looked like when it was built in 1887.  Donations are always welcome.  Mark your gifts Property Improvement Fund.  This will complete our improvements (new roof on Parish House Wing, new AC/Heating System, underground entrance for the electric to the church) to this historic corner and the first glimpse of Historic Lake Helen to visitors and  residents alike.  We can be proud of this witness to the community.

Healing Service . . .

Our Quarterly Healing Service will be at 7:00 pm, Sunday November 23rd.  At this service we will offer prayers, anoint with oil and lay on hands and observe the sacrament of Holy Communion.  The message will be Healing Touch, based on Acts 28:1-10.  All are welcome.

 

Annual Cookie Walk . . .

The Annual Women's Fellowship Cookie Walk will be held starting at 9 am, Saturday, Nov. 22nd at the Parish House.  They are in need of coffee cans, and of course cookies (remember no bar cookies as they do not pack well).  You may leave your cookies on Friday between 1 and 3 pm or before 8:30 am on Saturday.  For more information see Caryn Long or Grace Barnes.

 

Women's Fellowship . . .

Women's Fellowship meets at 9:30 am on Thursday at the Parish House for there monthly meeting and to prepare for the Annual Cookie Walk Saturday.  All women of the church are invited.  For information contact Caryn Long.

 

Christmas Poinsettia Plants . . .

Poinsettia plants for Christmas Sunday need to be ordered by November 23rd.  They will be $6.00 and forms are available each Sunday at church.

 

Help Needed . . .

Jim Davis needs your help to decorate after church on Sunday the 23rd so we will decorated for the first Sunday in Advent, November 30th.  A sandwich lunch will be served to the workers following the decoration party.  If you would like to donate sandwiches, call Caryn Long at 228-2646.

This Sunday . . .

On this last Sunday of the Christian year I will be preaching on the topic, Thanksgiving: Where Are You Looking For It?, based on Deuteronomy 8:1-20.  Fellowship time follows worship for those not decorating the church.  Come and join us for worship of our Creator God this Sunday.
